Hi, I’m Tim Travis. A 20 year veteran marketer, communicator, and professional storyteller. Here’s my story.

In the third grade, I was cast as an extra in a tourism commercial for my hometown. In high school, I gained high marks in an oratory contest for delivering an impeccably timed and humorous speech on advertising. And in university, my first press release garnered an interview on CBC radio.

It was only natural that I would follow a career in marketing and communications.

Today, I mix my natural talents with a love of storytelling and a rich blend of communications and marketing experience in fast-paced, ever-changing organizations. My experience and skill set is extensive and diverse, including:

I’ve applied, gained, and polished those skills in companies ranging from startups to research and law firms to global enterprises.

I attended the two oldest universities in Canada: the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton with a Bachelor of Business Administration (marketing concentration), and a one-year French language immersion program at Université Laval in Québec City. I’ve also taken courses on digital marketing at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and Brainstation and regularly attend conferences and meetups to learn, develop, and grow my knowledge of digital marketing and communications.

Tim Travis resides in Vancouver and is an avid travel bug having touched foot on every continent (except Antarctica). In 2010, he was one of 600 Canadians to carry the Paralympic torch. Read more about those experiences and adventures at timotrav.blogspot.ca.
